W-ZHA conducted an economic feasibility analysis for the proposed Northstar Corridor Commuter line. W-ZHA worked with the IBI Group on this assignment. The client was the Northstar Corridor Development Authority. W-ZHA's work did not represent a market analysis although economic trends were considered. To determine transit-oriented development potential W-ZHA assumed that current conditions will change as a result of public actions, shifting demand, and the evolution of new building forms designed to create compact and sustainable mixed-use environments. Transit-oriented development potential was then assessed for the station areas along this Corridor.
