INNER WEST STREET DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

    The Inner West Street Development Strategy was crafted for the City of Annapolis. The City recognized that it needed to revitalize West Street to grow its commercial tax base. West Street is an older commercial corridor. A multi-pronged strategy was developed that included financial incentives, regulatory changes, a phased streetscape program, a parking development strategy and a rotary. Significant redevelopment has occurred on the Street including three new restaurants and two office buildings. One parking garage and a rotary have been completed. Another parking garage and the streetscape are under-construction. A major mixed-use project is in the financing stage.
