W-ZHA worked on both sides of this major Downtown project. Gallery Place is a mixed-use, entertainment center located across from Washington, DC's MCI Arena in the booming east end of the Downtown. Gallery Place has a metro station and part of the Project's land is owned by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Initially, the City retained W-ZHA to evaluate the merits of applying Tax Increment Financing to this Project. Subsequently, W-ZHA was retained by Newman Associates, a subsidiary of GMAC Financing, to prepare the market analysis for the investment prospectus.
